Louis Widmer Deodorant Aluminium Salts-free
The family-owned Louis Widmer AG was founded in 1960 by Louis-Edouard Widmer and his son Louis-Max in the Swiss town of Ringlikon. Today, Louis Widmer is a gloabel Swiss cosmetics and pharmaceutical company which specializes in skin care and dermatology. The headquaters are based in Schlieren, near Zurich, Switzerland.
In addition to the cosmetic devision the Swiss company develops and produces pharmaceuticals for the treatment of skin diseases such as acne, scalp seborrhea and psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, hyperkeratosis, or herpes. From its beginnings the company has been omitting animal-based testing.
In early 2014 Louis Widmer launched its first aluminum-free deodrant and just called it:
Louis Widmer Deodorant Aluminium Salts-free.
This aluminiumfree deodorant contains bacteriostatic agents which are dermatologically and allergologically safe and are recommended by Louis Widmer even for very sensitive skin. Chitosan is used as a deodorizing agent; the plant-based ethylhexylglycerin inhibits odor-causing bacteria from developping and silver molecules act slightly antiseptic and antibacteria on the skin.
The deodorant is also suitable for the use on hands and feet. The application is usually done once a day. For people who sweat heavily Louis Widmer recommends the use of the deodorant twice a day.
It is available lightly scented and non-scented.
